All Kaiju in Kaiju no. 8 anime ranked. Who is the strongest Kaiju

Kaiju No. 8 has taken the anime and manga world by storm, blending high-octane monster battles, military sci-fi tactics, and an underdog protagonist who literally becomes the enemy humanity fears most. But while Kafka Hibino’s journey is central, to be honest almost everyone who watched the anime or read manga crave for kaiju battles the most. And that leads us to a quite interesting question: what could be the power comparison between every kaiju, who will be the strongest to the weakest? Having that in mind, we have created a detailed list of all numbered kaiju(Daikaiju) and their rankings from the weakest to the strongest. Up until now there are 15 numbered kaiju in total and among that number there is not much information about kaiju number 3,5 and 7. So, we will be making a list excluding these Daikaiju. Here’s a ranked list of the strongest kaiju in Kaiju No. 8 so far :

12. Kaiju no. 10

Kaiju No. 10 was a muscular humanoid kaiju, it was tall with a crimson shell with spikes on the back and a long spiky tail. It’s main goal was to destroy Third divisions base and kill all solders. It was very confident, ruthless and strong even able the drag vice captain Soshiro Hoshina to the edge. It was able to fire projectiles with its finger, its reflexes and regenerative powers were magnificent.

Although it was able to put an exiting fight, it’s fortitude level was quite low (8.3) compared to other daikaiju and taken by the third division, which is why it’s at the bottom of the list.

11. Kaiju no. 14

This kaiju was created by Kaiju No. 9 solely for one reason to kill the 3rd division captain Mina Ashiro. This Daikaiju had a fortitude level of 9.0. No. 14 could quickly teleport between close locations countering  Mina Ashiro’s sniping skills. This kaiju could also unleash destructive beams from each mouth on its head. Eventually, it was taken down by Mina Ashiro. As it was just created by number 9 there were no weapons made from this kaiju.

 As No. 9 used this kaiju just reach Mina to retrieve her incredible power for itself, this kaiju wasn’t built that strong.

10. Kaiju no. 4

Kaiju No. 4 was a large bug like flying monster with three eyes and sharp teethes. Kaiju No. 4 had multiple wings on its back and able fly at great speed. Later it was neutralized by defense force and turned into number weapon. The weapon was first used by Hikari Shinomiya and later after her death it went to her daughter Kikoru Shinomiya. It was also the quickest among the number weapons. But, considering its damaging abilities it better suits number 10th spot.

9. Kaiju no. 15

No. 15 was also a humanoid kaiju looking exactly similar to Kikoru Shinomiya, with the only differences between the two being black hair instead of blond and occasionally red eyes. The kaiju represented a fortitude level of 9.0. and it was also created by kaiju no. 9 to finish off Kikoru Shinomiya. It had immense physical strength, speed and reflexes, was capable of troughing energy beams. It gave Kikoru Shinomiya a pretty tough fight, Afterall it was finally taken down by her.

8. Kaiju no. 11

This kaiju was also a threat provided by kaiju no. 9. Kaiju No. 11 had a muscular humanoid figure with a large whale like head and a big shark like fin on top. Its fortitude level was also 9.0. But it was quite dangerous because of its immense physical strength and hydrokinesis power, which was a perfect counter to the first division captain Gen Narumi.

7. Kaiju no. 12

This kaiju was a perfected version of Kaiju no. 10. With the fortitude level of 9.0 this kaiju was also created by kaiju no. 9 to finish off  Third Division Vice-Captain Soshiro Hoshina. Besides its overall strength, it had an unique adaptability. Almost no attacks worked on it twice, which made it vary deadly. But, Hoshina with his skills combined with the numbered weapon power of kaiju no. 10 was able to kill it at the very end. Although it made a big impact during the fight, which earns it the spot.

6. Kaiju no. 13

No. 13 was a very tall and humanoid kaiju looked more like Kaiju No. 9. in appearance. Its only instinct is defeating its enemies as fast as possible and also it had a single obsession that was running. This kaiju had terrifying speed, stamina, strength and shapeshifting what shook the first division platoon leaders. It reached the fortitude level of 9.2. But, was taken down by Hibino Kafka(kaiju no 8) with one hard blow.

5. Kaiju no. 1

The first Numbered kaiju ever recorded also known as the The Future Sight Kaiju. Kaiju No. 1’s retina allowed it to see through other living things and pinpoint their weak spots, as well as giving it an enhanced vision. It was taken down by the defense force and later on turned into a weapon which was operated by first division captain  Gen Narumi. This Kaiju has a fortitude of 9.0+ but its unique ability makes it more deadly. That’s why it earns the spot.

4. Kaiju no. 2

Kaiju no 2 The Daikaiju of Destruction capable to blow up a whole area with its powerful sonic blast. It was the first kaiju to show how destruction can look like. Finally it was defeated by the defense force and turned into a weapon. Only Isao Shinomiya was completable of using the weapon from. Isao himself became the strongest solder of defense force using this weapon in his prime.

3. Kaiju no. 6

With a ferocious fortitude level of 9.6 this kaiju was called The King of Kaiju. This kaiju was neutralized by the Defense Force ten years before the main storyline. It brought the death of 200 Defense Force officers and 3 captains, with Second Division Captain Hikari Shinomiya. Even after turning it into a weapon no one was able to use it until Reno Ichikawa was introduced. Its name is still recognized as a “Symbol of Despair” among people.

2. Kaiju no. 8

Kaiju no. 8 is the result of 400 years of hatred, regrate and rage of fallen samurai’s, which led it to be a weapon up against kaijus themself. This kaiju had the highest fortitude level ever recorded(9.8). During the final battle his final form explains how powerful he could be.

1. Kaiju no. 9

Although this kaiju may no be physically not that strong on its own and it only appeared as fortitude of 8.5, this kaiju was absolute threat to mankind due to its unique virus like features. It can merge with any other kaiju and evolves on a continuous basis. It also merged with the The Daikaiju of the Meireki Era and Kaiju No. 2 , which made enough to reach immeasurable power. It took entire defense force and Kafka to fight together for neutralizing this monster.

If Kafka is humanity’s last hope, then No. 9 is the final boss. Raw power is scary. Intelligence + evolution + patience? That’s apocalyptic.
