Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Release Date, Updates & What It Will Cover
Mark your calendars, Season 3 is officially premiering in January 2026. It was confirmed in a recent teaser and via multiple news sources mentioning the official window. Voice actors are already back in the booth, Yuji Itadori’s Junya Enoki, Megumi’s Yuma Uchida, Yuta’s Megumi Ogata, and Choso’s Daisuke Namikawa are confirmed to return.
And there’s more: a compilation movie titled Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution – Shibuya Incident × The Culling Game Begins will premiere in Japan on November 7, 2025, recapping Season 2’s Shibuya Incident and including the first two episodes of Season 3. A great launchpad!
Expect official announcements and perhaps a trailer reveal at Jump Festa 2026, held December 20–21, where major shonen headlines drop.
The Story Arc
Season 3 will dive into the Culling Game arc. A colossal battle royale among sorcerers, orchestrated by Kenjaku. This arc is one of the most pivotal, high-stakes segments in the manga.
The anime will also likely cover:
- Itadori’s Extermination Arc
- Perfect Preparation Arc
- Leading into the blood-pumping heart of the Culling Game Arc
What to Look Forward to
Yuji vs Yuta
The new trailer teases a long-awaited showdown between Yuji Itadori and Yuta Okkotsu—two of the strongest young sorcerers in Jujutsu history.
Maki’s Power Awakening
The teaser also hints at Maki stepping up in a major way during the Culling Game—including sharpened combat skills and perhaps breakthroughs in her cursed technique.
Gojo vs Sukuna
Not only a dream matchup—it’s confirmed to heat up in Season 3’s Culling Game madness. If previously fought battles were cinematic, this one could redefine shonen showdowns. Thought the fight might only be teased at the closing statement of Season 3, having to make us wait another two years for the actual full-scale showdown to be witnessed.
Production Quality
MAPPA confirmed the Culling Game arc is now in full anime production, and voice recording is underway—cue high expectations for animation quality and fight choreography. Yuji’s VA has called this “on a whole different level”, promising a visually and emotionally elevated experience.
Building Anticipation
While Jujutsu Kaisen hasn’t revealed more plot details at recent events, the anime’s fandom remains electric. Everyone’s waiting for that trailer drop, and the Jump Festa stage is guaranteed to deliver. With a January 2026 release window, a recap film to guide even casual viewers, and the promise of mind-blowing fights like—it’s a perfect storm of hype.
Stay tuned, get your popcorn ready (and maybe some tissues), because Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 is shaping up to be a monumental return.

Hey there just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The words in your post seem to be running off the screen in Opera. I’m not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do with internet browser compatibility but I thought I’d post to let you know. The style and design look great though! Hope you get the problem solved soon. Cheers
Thanks for informing. But, I think there is no issue now.
Having read this I thought it was very informative. I appreciate you taking the time and effort to put this article together. I once again find myself spending way to much time both reading and commenting. But so what, it was still worth it!
